In order to conserve our bumblebees, it's crucial that we understand them.

You can help us by taking part in one of our surveys

Beewatch
We need your help to map the distributions of our bumblebees, particularly the rarer species.

Could you take digital photographs of any unusual species that you see in your garden, or when off on a walk, and upload them here...

We're very interested to record the spread of our new arrival, the Tree Bumblebee. This species arrived in the UK about 6 years ago and is gradually spreading north.

It's a very distinctive looking bee with interesting behaviour. Have you seen one?

Nest Box Trial
In some locations bumblebees may struggle to find natural nesting sites. We'd like to learn more about providing homes for them - at the moment we don't have all of the answers. Why not put an artificial nesting site in your garden and let us know how you get on.....
